If you are staying in the old town or above it, think about size before you think about power. The streets behind the Mercado dos Lavradores are narrow and most hotel garages are tight — a VW Up or a Fabia will make the week easier than something bigger, and they are the cheapest cars we have.
The price on screen is the price you pay: full insurance, unlimited kilometres and IVA included, nothing blocked on your card, and payment at handover rather than months in advance.
